Naturopathic doctors are highly educated primary care physicians with a minimum of 7 years post secondary education. In addition to a university degree, naturopathic doctors must undergo 4 rigorous years of training at an accredited naturopathic medical school. In Canada, there are 2 of these schools, The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario and Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in Vancouver, British Columbia. Dr. Claudia TrugliaI am a naturopathic doctor with a passion to help motivate and encourage people to feel healthy. My favourite part of my job, aside from watching people become healthier and happier before my eyes, is educating my patients. I love being able to spend enough time with patients that I can teach them how amazing the human body is and every part of our body ties into the next. It is so fascinating how our bodies have the ability to heal themselves and I love to watch people stare at me in awe as I start to make all of their health concerns make sense to them. It is the most rewarding feeling in the world to watch someone who is suffering so much come back and feel incredible after years and years of hopelessness. I love my job!
